The Member Education Unit is pleased to announce an upcoming training session for elected members on the Regional Hardship Committee for 2024.
Recognizing that OPSEU/SEFPO is a member-led social democratic union and has regional leadership who are in direct contact with the members and understand that some are facing financial hardship, the Executive Board has established a Hardship Fund to provide financial assistance for members in good standing who find themselves in dire circumstances. The Regional Hardship Committees are responsible for administering the disbursement of the funds based on member eligibility. In order to effectively carry out their role on the committee, all Regional Hardship Committee members and alternates are asked to attend an online training session. If you have taken a Regional Hardship Committee training in a previous year, you are still invited and encouraged to attend.
