OPSEU’s Equity Representatives in Region 6 are excited to host their upcoming Equity School, Undoing Systemic Racism: What We Can Do as Union Members in Region 6, from April 26-28, 2019. It will be held at the Radisson Hotel Sudbury. The event will examine issues of systemic racism and how they are less about personal interactions but rather about how institutions in society have internalized and implemented racism. Members will spend the weekend participating in solution-focused skills-building sessions. The goal will be to take back these strategies and apply them in their workplaces and communities following the event.
