You are invited to attend the OPSEU/SEFPO Region 1 – Equity Conference being held at the London Membership Centre – 1092 Dearness Drive, London, ON N6E 1N9.
Join us for “A Night Without a Home” and an eye-opening overnight experience to raise awareness about homelessness, addiction, and mental health. Spend the night with fellow members in a meaningful show of support and gain a deeper understanding of the struggles many in our community’s face.
Doors Open: Friday, August 15 at 4:00 PM with conference starting at 7:00 PM (Dinner will be served between 5pm – 6:30pm)

What to Expect
- Together we will sleep indoors on the floor from Friday night to Saturday morning to reflect the instability and discomfort experienced by those without safe housing. Sleeping bags will be provided. Members are welcome to bring pillows or other sleepover items, such as a cot or mat, for added comfort.
- Share meals together while engaging in thoughtful discussions about the root causes of homelessness, systemic barriers, and the challenges faced by equity deserving
- Hear directly from individuals who have experienced homelessness to better understand the human side of housing insecurity.
- On Saturday, members will visit Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU), located at 333 Richmond Street, London, ON, to learn about local supports, services, and initiatives making a real difference in the lives of youth experiencing homelessness.
- Together, we will assemble care and move-in packages to donate to support youth transitioning into stable housing.
