The OPSEU Provincial Human Rights Committee (PHRC) and the Workers of Colour Caucus (WOCC) call on OPSEU members to take a stand with us against the continued and ever-rising incidents of hate, Islamophobia and racism in Canada and around the world. The PHRC and the WOCC condemns these incidents — from white supremacist rallies in Charlottesville, Virginia to Canadian federal legislation attacking Muslim and racialized immigrants and refugees to the terror attack that led to the deaths of six Muslim men at a mosque in Quebec city last January.
The PHRC and WOCC call on all OPSEU members to confront hate, racism and islamophobia in our workplaces and communities. Join us in Toronto for a "unity rally" on Sunday, October 15.
