OPSEU to hold press conference on NPCA

St. Catharines – OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas will hold a press conference in St. Catharines on Wednesday to announce next steps in the wake of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority’s layoff of half its watershed management staff.

Location: Robertson Hall (“The Robby”), 85 Church Street, St. Catharines

Welland MPP Cindy Forster will also be in attendance to address the media. Thomas and Forster will be joined by OPSEU Region 2 Vice-President Lucy Morton.

Written statements from Jim Bradley, MPP for St. Catharines, and Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West-Glanbrook, will be read out at the news conference.
