This Thanksgiving, LCBO workers in Oshawa and Windsor are showing up outside their stores to thank customers for supporting their local stores and the workers who keep them running.
The collective agreement between the LCBO and OPSEU/SEFPO expires on March 31, 2024. In the coming months, LBED members are mobilizing in their workplaces and communities to raise awareness about why we are all together in the fight to keep the LCBO public:
- LCBO profits fund public schools and hospitals
- Keeping good jobs in our communities
- Keeping our local stores and warehouses open
- Keeping our communities safe
And yet, the Ford Government is looking to sell off the LCBO piece by piece. Giving away lucrative liquor sales will hand our public revenues over to private profits and endanger LCBO stores and jobs.
LCBO workers kept stores open throughout the pandemic, and now we’re prepared to keep them open for good.
