Local Town Halls to Protect Our Local Public Hospitals from Ford’s Plan to Dismantle & Privatize
The Ontario Health Coalition will be holding online town halls across Ontario to fight against the Ford government’s privatization agenda and save our public hospitals.
The Ford government announced their plans to expand and build new for-profit surgical/diagnostic hospitals and clinics. At the same time, the government has left our public hospitals with operating rooms that are closed in the evenings, on weekends, for days and months at a time, or even permanently, due to inadequate funding and staffing to run them.
Now, after having worsened the staffing crisis, Ford is launching privatization of core hospital services as if it is a “solution”. It is the old formula: create a crisis and privatize. Our local public hospitals have been built on the donations and work of our communities over the last century. They are not Ford’s to dismantle and sell off to for-profit corporations.
Join the Chatham-Kent Online Town Hall to help organize a fightback to protect our local hospitals.
