The North Bay and District Labour Council will once again host a free family fun picnic at the North Bay waterfront on Monday September 5. The last two years have been difficult for our labour movement, especially because our strength comes from solidarity efforts like our very popular annual Labour Day picnic. We’re excited to be restarting this popular event. Organizing the annual picnic takes many hands and lots of financial resources. This year’s picnic will be slightly smaller so we can gradually get back to our original size in 2023.

During the Picnic we will have games and activities, music, and, because of tradition, hot dogs and soda pop. The event will be from 12-3PM at the bandshell waterfront park, beside Shabogesic Beach (our usual location).

As you know, all this costs money. Various unions and other labour groups have already donated so that children and their families can have a meaningful and enjoyable time. We are hoping you will join the fun.

We are asking you to support this event. Anything you have to offer will be greatly appreciated, money, peoplepower, or whatever.

Please make cheque payable to North Bay & District Labour Council and forward to the above address. On behalf of the North Bay & District Labour Council, thank you for your support.

Sincerely yours

Henri Giroux, President
