On Monday, October 2, join the Federation of Metro Tenants’ Associations (FTMA) at a protest against Demovictions at Toronto City Hall. They’ll deliver a petition to the city of Toronto, asking them to address the irreversible damage being done to affordable housing through mass Demovictions.
The stock of affordable purpose-built rental buildings in Toronto is currently being destroyed at an unprecedented rate, causing irreparable damage to an already limited pool of affordable housing, which contributes to soaring rent prices, gentrification, and the number of people experiencing homelessness.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Join Tenants Associations from around the city on Monday at City Hall to demand an end to demovictions!
When: Monday, October 2nd from 5 PM to 7 PM
Where: Toronto City Hall at 100 Queen St. W
