Community members, business owners, local politicians and union members will rally Tuesday to call on the provincial government to restore LCBO access, following the shuttering of the town’s only LCBO outlet. Locals fear that this closure will threaten the economic well-being of Larder Lake, as it risks driving local residents and tourists to do their shopping in other communities.

Date: Tuesday, July 18
Time: 12 noon
Location: Across from the Muddy Moose Restaurant & Inn, Highway 66, Larder Lake

Participants:
John Vanthof, MPP, Timiskaming-Cochrane
Gary Cunnington, Mayor of Larder Lake
Michel Bisaillon, Regional Vice-President, OPSEU
Denise Davis, Chair, Liquor Board Employees Division, OPSEU
Paul Kelly, owner, Dublin Bay Lodge (MC)
