Join members of OPSEU Local 5102 at a lunchtime information picket in support of their bargaining demands.

Workers at Surex Community Services have voted 98 per cent in favour of strike action if necessary. They are resolved to bargain a collective agreement that provides fair wages as well as benefits for all staff. Approximately 76 per cent of the workers are classified as part-time. The bargaining team is in conciliation on June 8.

Workers at Surex provide residential support to adults with developmental disabilities in 11 residential homes in Toronto that provide 24-hour care. Surex workers also run a community support program that involves training, recreation and community integration.
