OPSEU’s Hospital Professionals Division will be holding a lobby day at Queen’s Park. We invite you, or a designee, to attend lobby events on Monday March 4th and Tuesday March 5th, 2019.
On Monday March 4th, participants are expected to attend an afternoon lobby training session at the Courtyard Marriott, in downtown Toronto. Participants will then spend the entire day at Queen’s Park on Tuesday March 5th, visiting with their MPPs, to introduce them to the important work done by OPSEU hospital professionals and to raise awareness about the concerns the Division, and its members face.
Allied health professionals play a vital role in the public health care system, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of quality care. However, problems such as funding cuts, lack of beds, privatization, outsourcing and mergers continue to threaten the superior level of care and treatment that allied health professionals are able to deliver.
We need our elected MPPs to listen to our concerns and to advocate for frontline hospital professionals and the quality public health care they provide for all Ontarians.
