Hamilton's hospitals are facing devastating cuts.  Members of OPSEU Local 206 face job losses at St. Joseph’s Healthcare. The hospital has proposed $26 million in cuts to staff and services impacting neo-natal intensive care, operating room, cardiology, dialysis, surgery, medical rehab, geriatric outreach and other departments. Hamilton Health Sciences plans to slash $30 million from its budget, nearly 100 full-time jobs at HHS are slated to be cut.

The Hamilton Health Coalition and the Ontario Health Coalition and labour allies are organizing a community Town Hall meeting to discuss proposed cuts and to plan a fight back campaign to stop the cuts. All are invited to attend. For more information contact: Rolf Gerstenberger, 289-260-9547.

Support your local health care professionals and participate in the Town Hall.  Circulate a Petition to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.
