(SUDBURY) – A plan by the Northern Ontario School of Medicine to layoff up to 17 employees violates terms of their collective bargaining agreement and will be vigorously challenged, the president of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union said today.

SUDBURY – Striking office, clerical and technical staff at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine will likely return to work Nov. 15 after the school’s board of directors yesterday approved a tentative contract with OPSEU Local 677.
