Developmental Services
Developmental services workers provide
professional care primarily to people with developmental or
“intellectual” disabilities. We are on the job around the clock
in high support behavioural homes and community residences. We
also provide individual home care in our clients’ own homes.
Children's Aid Societies
The CAS sector advocates for Ontario’s Child
Protection staff who protect our children. The CAS Sector
Executive and Bargaining Committees, through the central Union,
provide resources that members need to win Better Contracts,
Better Working Conditions, and educate the Public. We are
committed to our dedicated members who see that Ontario’s
children are safe.

Child Treatment Centres
We currently have 27 units in the Sector who
share a common commitment of working with children and their
families who are experiencing some form of distress in their
lives. We can be found working in group homes, day treatment
programs, schools, crisis centres/response teams, resource
centres and residential treatment facilities to name a few. As
workers, we know the value of working on teams, sharing
resources and areas of expertise in meeting the needs of the
people we serve.
