October 18, 2011 Delegates from 24 colleges, representing
over 8,000 members, met this past weekend to begin the process of democratic
discussions on the members’ demands for the next round of bargaining during
2012. A new team was elected to lead them into negotiations for a new collective
agreement with the colleges. The current agreement expires on August 31,
Final count affirms acceptance of College offer
February 24, 2010 Verification of mail-in ballots has confirmed that faculty at Ontario’s 24 community colleges have narrowly accepted the employer’s contract offer. As a result, the offer from the Colleges becomes the new collective agreement for the next three years.
Results still uncertain
February 12, 2010 The vote on management’s offer last received is not yet completed. Segregated and mail-in ballots will need to be counted to determine the final result, depending on the number of ballots mailed in.
