May 18, 2011 Since the last Labline in
January 2011, OPSEU, AMAPCEO and the employer have been working on finalizing
the language that will define the scope of each bargaining unit. A joint
communication from the three parties describing the process and its results was
released in mid-April.

January 11, 2011 On Wednesday January
12, the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion bargaining team will
be launching a button campaign across the province. Buttons with the logo “2008

January 3, 2011 Last spring, the government stated that
its fiscal plan provides no funding for employers to provide any compensation
increases and that all employers and employee groups will be expected to do
their part by voluntarily negotiating two year collective agreements with no net

have met in Oakville to complete bargaining of the outstanding issues before

May, 2010 Last November, we told you that we had filed for conciliation. We met with the employer and our conciliation officer in December, February, March and April and were able to finish off the non-monetary issues. We returned to the bargaining table on May 10 to 12 to begin the monetary issues. Unfortunately, we have now stalled on monetary issues.

NON-MONETARY ITEMS ARE NOW COMPLETED
April, 2010 We returned to the bargaining table on March 8 to 10
and again on April 12 to 14 with the conciliator in attendance for
the April dates. During these six days, we were able to complete the
outstanding non-monetary issues. Some of these remaining issues were
relatively minor, but a number of them are more substantive such as
seasonal employees and classification issues.

February 17 to 19 and February 22 to 25. During these seven days we made
significant progress on employment stability, hours of work and paid

Conciliation requested November 2009 On November 12 and 13 and November 16 to 19, we met with the Employer to continue bargaining our collective agreement. We have made significant progress on such issues as health and safety, job posting and employment stability.
